Small ways to improve your life

1. Quit worrying about what others think
Most people don't really care which dress you wore or what colour your makeup was! Besides, you can't help what people think. The less you focus on it, the happier you will be.

2. Stop trying to do your best
...and start doing as well as you can. Research shows that when we stay focused on the task rather than on what others may think of the end result, we actually perform better.

3. Balance work and play
All work and no play can make a dull person. We need time to play. Playtime can be solitary or with others; physical or passive; a sport or hobby. Take time out for some healthy play.

4. Keep an ongoing daily to-do list
We all have more things to do than we have energy for. If you're afraid you'll forget small tasks, take charge and organise your life by jotting down reminders in a notebook.

5. Let someone spoil you
Massage therapy is one of the quickest ways to feel good. Why not let someone else pamper and take care of you?

Boys will be boys..
I've had enough of boys for now..
Will you be the man who
can tolerate my girlishness
And at the same time..
Appreciate the woman in me?

Retail therapy..

It's not the number of items bought, nor is it the total amount spent..
It's the feel good effect after making purchases worth your money...

Where's all the money?!!

Today one of my colleagues told us that she just bought a flat.. And the lunch conversation revolved around money, e.g., money for the downpayment...

It's amazing how much money one needs to have for such commitment, and even more amazing to find out the amount of assets my colleague had!!  And she started working one year after me, and she owns (at least) two branded bags - one LV and one Miu-miu!!  Wowwwww.......

Not that I covet such branded purchases... But I can't help but wonder where did all my money go to?  I don't buy from Mango and Zara, which are in the $60 - $100+ range.. I don't buy Pazzion or Aldo shoes, which are in the $70 - $130+ range.. My accessories are (apart from the ones Dear gave me) not expensive.. And I don't indulge in (apart from the ipod nano Dear gave me) expensive electronics (minus the handphone, but hey! It's a once in two years expense!)...

Then it boiled down to a few items..

I take a bit too much cabs...Haha... I do admit....  Which can amount to approximately $120 a month..

Food is another major item on my expense list.. Depending on the number of occasions or gatherings I have, the amount I spend can range from $200 to almost $500...

And of course, my indulgence.... For nails (on occasions), hair, massages, facials and other works.. Which are in fact, my largest expense output....

It's really time to start saving already!!  Haiz....... Where's all the money?!!
