As usual, when I meet up with people who know I blog, I will kena complained that I never blog.. Haiz... Inertia ah...

I declared on Facebook that I want to take photos of christmas trees this year.. Well.. As usual, inertia set in.. Here's all the photos I took... There's one more actually.. But because my handphone is charging right now, I can't upload the photo... So it'll probably not be shown lar.. =p

I like the one at Pacific Plaza (pink pink!) plus the Rocher one.. Hahaha.. Kawaii...

I know... I've procrastinated blogging for like the longest time.. Haha...

Now got some time, so... blog lor!!

What have I been up to? Well, I just completed watching Gong Xin Ji... Super shuang leh, watch this type of show.. Haha... If you haven't watched yet, you should try it! Woo hoo....

Work wise, things are getting busy ba... Although there's still some lull periods here and there, maybe like, one or two days then a siong few days.. But well, pretty manageable ba...

What else...? Hehe...

Today, I completed my 10km Standard Chartered run! Woo hoo!! Okie... I didn't run all the way, after the 5km mark, I walked a bit.. Cuz that bridge portion was up slope lar.. Until I reached suntec did I continue running... Then walked a bit after the water point, then ran until after the flyer, and walked again, until nearing the floating platform, and it was running all the way~~ 1 hour 40 min... Yeah... Nothing to compare against, apart from my 5km run in July (46 min approx).. But nonetheless, still proud of myself!! Achievement of 2009! Although... I'm soooo aching right now... =p

Along the way, quite a bit of people were taking photos.. With all the smart phones, I heard that people were facebook-ing while jogging too! Power... I guess, it's all about knowing how to enjoy yourself ba.. I think I'm a bit too serious lar.. Haha.. Don't quite know how to let loose! Okie.. 2010's resolution!! Learn how to be not so serious.. Hahaha....

Blood boiling..

Today I experienced a blood boiling situation.... One that really made me soooo mad!! Mad to the extent that I felt giddy, and I could feel the blood rush up to my face for that few seconds....

I try and I try to understand your perspective.....

But........ I still don't get it... WHY???

Anyway, I coloured my hair today!! Woo hoo!! DIY colour... Using Liese's foam colouring equipment... Quite easy too! Hehe... But... Just wondering... Will I still do it again next time?

This time I used quite a dark colour, so my family say there's not much difference.. But that's the intention lar.... A more subtle look since it's the autumn/winter season, and I can also even out the difference between the black & the red hair that has since turned brown...

As I was doing the dishes, I was suddenly reminded of something that happened ten years ago..

Sometime in 1999, I was inspired (if the term was right) and wanted to seek permission from my parents for a particular step that was going to change my life.. Or so to speak..

It took me a lot of courage and self-encouragement before I managed to squeeze the words out of my mouth.. I can recall that I came out from my room, along the corridor, and quickly said the words, while either my mum or my dad was going to the washroom during the commercial breaks while the TCS (or was it still SBC?) drama was screening...

Can I get contact lens?

Hahahaha... Yeah.. This year marks the tenth year that I've pop those small transparent pieces into my eyes.. I certainly hope that during the past ten years, I didn't do anything that damages my eye health (too much or too drastically).. But I know, one of the common "crimes", of which I'm guilty of, is wearing the lens for a far too long period of time, sometimes even up to 15 hours.. That's something I shouldn't be doing, and yeah, I'm trying to make a more conscious effort to pinch out the lens after I get home... Hehe... *ganbatte*

Abnormally weird

Latest update: 2nd Oct is now declared a no for me either...

This has indeed been pretty much a weird day at work... Did certain things that I may not have done under normal circumstances, but given the triggering of certain trigger points in me, I went to do certain stuff lor.. Haha...

Not a good place to comment about.. So.. Yup... Will update if I do indeed get to go on leave on some day in October........

anger and frustration

A couple of weeks ago, my boss sent out this email to my division relating to leave-free with effect from October, whereby we can only take one day maximum at any time, and approval is on a case by case basis. This leave freeze is estimated to be up till March next year...

As such, I was having this dilemma last week (or was it the week before) on whether to apply leave for 1st Oct or 2nd Oct.. Of course, the best scenario is to get approval to take both days lar.. But between the two dates, I preferred 1st Oct, because I don't want to work on my birthday... So, (after my supervisor said I can't take both days), I decided to take 1st Oct..

Today, an email was sent out and something compulsory was scheduled for 1st Oct... My world shattered to pieces, and I am not exaggerating at all...

I really (at that moment, and several moments subsequent to reading that email) lost all will to work on the assignments that I had been allocated.. Immediately, I instant-message a few colleagues and told them the bad news (and bad is an understatement - both at that moment, and even at this very minute when I'm blogging about it..) They tried to comfort me and say that I can take 2nd Oct instead and enjoy a long weekend....

Uh-huh, but that's not the point... Because my main concern is being able to not work on my birthday!

They then asked whether this will be the first time I have to work on my birthday..

YES! It's the first time!!!

Then they commented, what about during school days? Surely there'll be classes / tests..?

Well, those are beyond my control right? In the working society, technically being able to not work on my birthday is within my control because leave is an entitlement right?

Groanz and double groanz... (Hou lao, double the lao, triple the lao....!!)

Ok, my supervisor has said it should be ok to go on leave on 2nd Oct, but it's subject to another boss' approval....... Am now just crossing my fingers very tightly and hoping that I can go on 2nd Oct leave...

So, without the will to work or put in effort to work (ok, not true because I still cleared quite some documents and sent some official emails..) I knocked off at 6.30pm and went for body combat..

Woahz, I really punched and kicked with all the possible strength I could muster up... And there was this IDIOT who wasn't familiar with combat, and thus was slower by one or two beats (DANGEROUS) and moved further than the norm (EVEN MORE DANGEROUS) and he stood next to me!! I felt quite a bit of the "wind" from his punches and kicks ok! I did bump into him once, and I didn't even care to apologise or anything.... Baka......... Too bad you caught me on a super wrong day............

Haiz...

And when I got on the bus and opened my bag, I realised that my library book wasn't inside!! I must have left it in office...

This was so totally not my day..........

And I was commenting to my colleagues, I'm a stubborn princess and I don't care... So be it... I don't want to work on my day and I shouldn't have to!

But of course, after all the frustration, there's still a rational, adorable darling beneath all these (who almost accidentally deleted her blog entry!!) Things aren't always so bad lar...

As my colleagues say - taking leave on the 2nd is still a good thing (if it's approved) since I can get a long weekend...

Not being able to find my library book in my bag meant that I could plug in and concentrate on my Rainie Yang songs all the way home... And I can avoid a situation of travel sickness due to reading on the bus as well..

Haiz... What to do? Must self-console right...?

And now, as a result of over-punching / kicking (I think), I'm suffering from quite a bit of giddiness... Haiz... Ok... at least this means I should go sleep liao, and increase the number of sleeping hours - good for the body and complexion....

Haiz............ If only I could take leave on my birthday.........

Random thoughts

As I wolved down the 5 otahs which my family left for me for my dinner, I wonder if I'll regret it when the consequences present themselves tomorrow morning... But it was nice.. Hehe... Plus i hope my mum's soup can neutralise the spiciness too.. *shakes stomach*

Just came back from a 2D1N trip to Batam (Harris Resort).. No photos to share because the photos are with Dear and he didn't pass them to me!! And he didn't upload anything on facebook, so I can't share them either.. Haha... But all in all, it was a very wu hua trip.. Muahaha...

Price: $209 for 2 pax, excluding taxes and other surcharges

Package includes: 1 night stay at Harris Resort (the new wing), ferry ticket, 1 hour massage, NON STOP food and drinks (i.e., lunch, dinner, breakfast and tea breaks!) plus cocktail hour (alcoholic drinks during lunch and dinner too!!) And some free activities too! Dear and I went to try out archery (I totally cmi!!), bowling (not much better...) and pool (hehe... I'm not too bad at this..)..

Somehow my frens' blogs seem to revolve around the topic of pregnancy and babies these days, be it from a pregnant mum or a non-pregnant wife.. At work, the topic of children also comes up... Got a warning from one of my bosses that having children is a HUGE responsibility... The way she said it.. Getting pregnant is easy, giving birth isn't difficult, but the whole process of bringing up a child, it's a commitment... My other boss "scold" her, say she scare us off... Haha..

Not that I was scared off or what, but I do agree some how, that one must really be very ready before you settle down and start a family.. It's different from settling down and have a husband/wife...

Babies and children can be cute and adorable, and they most certainly do and say the most unexpected things at times, but hey, what if the kid you give birth to isn't a very obedient one, but instead, give you all sorts of problems and headaches? Is it worth it after all? And how do you know that you will be a good parent? It's scary in fact....

But of course, I'm not ready to settle down for a family concept.. Haha.. I haven't even settled down to husband/wife state either.. I don't like to hear the question "so when's your turn?" all the time... And this question isn't coming from those aunties lor.. but some from colleagues / friends.. When it's time, it's time lor.. When the moment comes, don't worry, I'll let you know.. But in the meantime, pls don't ask me when is it my turn ok? =p

Workload piling up liao.. Leave freeze is going to start in a month's time... Oh well... Ganbatte... Things aren't looking so bad after all.. =p

No... I'm not talking about gaming in the sense of casino gaming... Day in day out see casino stuff.. Won't need to do so after working hours lar..

Although not true.. I've been playing Texas Hold'em online too.. Hehe..

My internet is having some problems.. So figured out that I might as well post an entry to update on my status.. Muahaha..

Have been playing lots of online games on Realore.com these days.. Chanced upon this website via facebook.. And ta da... There goes my hours at home from 9 plus until 12.. And then I become sleep deprived...

Ooo... Goodie... The games load liao.. Hehe...

Wanted to take leave next Thu & Fri de... BUT!! Last minute got to do some presentation to the big boss.. Ok lar... At least it's my baby getting presented.. And we can move forward from there once we get the 'ok'... But of course.. It would be good to go on leave (although I know.. I've done so several times this year liao..)

But... I'm going to be facing with leave freeze with effect from October wor... Still wondering whether I can get my Birthday leave... Haiz....

Play game ba.. Don't think liao.. Rainy night... Should be good to sleep in.. Muahaha...
